At Infinity Concrete Coatings, we’ve spent over two decades transforming concrete surfaces – from residential garages to commercial spaces – and we’ve worked with every coating system on the market. After seeing how epoxies, urethanes, and polyaspartics perform over time, one thing is clear: Nothing outlasts true mechanically polished concrete.
Unlike coatings that sit on top of your slab, polished concrete becomes part of the concrete itself. Through a multi-step mechanical process using industrial-grade diamond abrasives, we grind, densify, and polish the actual surface to create a floor that’s harder, cleaner, and far more durable than any coating or overlay can ever be.
Why Choose Polished Concrete for Your Garage?
1. Permanent Durability
Coatings look great at first – until they peel, bubble, or delaminate under hot tires or moisture.
Polished concrete doesn’t have a coating to fail. We refine and densify the actual concrete, hardening it from within for a surface that can’t chip or wear away. It’s built to handle everything from heavy vehicles to daily use for decades to come.
2. Virtually Maintenance-Free
No re-coating. No peeling. No surprises.
A polished floor simply needs light cleaning – no harsh chemicals or waxes. The surface naturally resists dusting and tire marks, keeping your garage bright and clean with minimal upkeep.
3. Oil, Chemical, and Stain Resistance
During polishing, we apply penetrating densifiers and sealers that dramatically reduce absorbency. This provides excellent resistance to oil, gas, road salt, and other common garage contaminants – without forming a vulnerable surface layer.
4. Safer, Brighter, and More Customizable
Polished concrete isn’t just tough – it’s beautiful. Choose your sheen level, from satin to high-gloss mirror, and enjoy the natural stone-like look of your own concrete. The reflective surface increases light in your garage by up to 30%, improving visibility and safety. 15+ stain color options also available.
5. Environmentally Friendly & Cost-Effective
Polished concrete is one of the most sustainable flooring options available. It uses your existing slab – no coatings, solvents, or materials that will fail and end up in a landfill later.
It’s a once-and-done solution that adds value to your home and saves thousands in long-term maintenance.

Looking for a resilient and beautiful flooring option that’s also budget-friendly?
Then Grind and Seal floors are perfect for you. These finishes have been a very popular option for homeowners and businesses alike.
Step 1 – Surface grind concrete with large machines to remove any surface contaminants, tile thinset/mortar, carpet glue or mastics, etc.
Step 2 – Detail clean and patch of holes and/or cracks with a choice of patch compounds suitable for your needs.
Step 3 – Finish detail smooth grind of the entire surface again.
Step 4 – Full detail cleaning/washing as needed.
Step 5 – Apply a minimum of 2 coats of your finish sealer of choice (high solids acrylic, water, or solvent-based epoxy and/or urethane resins in a matte/flat, satin/semi-gloss or gloss finish.
Step 1 – Surface grinding starts similar to the Grind and Seal process although we use more aggressive cutting and finish diamonds over the process. The Polish system starts with a series of aggressive diamonds of 30/40 and 60/80 grit metals.
Step 2 – The hybrid ceramic grinding process starts typically at 30g, 100g, and 200g along with the use of silicate concrete densifiers to ultimately harden the concrete surface to be “polished”.
Step 3 – After multi coats of densifier we finish the grind sequence with a series of diamond resins based on the desired shine level in the final polishing grind passes to grit spec of 200g, 400g, 800g, 1500g, or 3000g
(in order of lowest shine gloss to highest shine gloss)
Step 4 – After the floor is fully grind polished it gets a detailed cleaning and application of a “surface guard” and final machine buff/burnish to complete a perfect surface finish.
*Stains and dye tint colors can be added to either option during the process.
*As all concrete is unique this is a general basic overview of each process and we adjust as needed to perfect our process and method for each and every project. Your happiness and the end result is our #1 priority.
